Within the framework of work package 2 (WP2), we are in the phase of discussions in focus groups.
The focus groups in all partner countries will be held with the purpose of identifying the needs and experiences of teachers and trainers in vocational education with and without experience with autism. The goal is to adapt vocational education to people on the autism spectrum by providing teachers and trainers with the necessary tools, strategies and resources. Teaching staff trained in this way will be fully able to provide support to autistic students.
Two focus groups were held in Croatia:
- On June 5, 2024 in Slavonski Brod, the organizer was Industrial and Trade School, who gathered in the focus group participants from different vocational schools from the town of Slavonski Brod as well as parents of autistic students
- On June 12, 2024 in Zagreb at the Middle School – Center for Education, the co-organizers were the Association STRUKA Slavonski Brod and Industrial and Trade School Slavonski Brod
