JOB DESCRIPTION

A forklift operator drives powered industrial trucks to lift, move, and store materials. Their duties include loading and unloading goods, organizing warehouse space, and ensuring safety during material handling.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  1. Warehouses, logistics centers, manufacturing plants
  1. Ports, rail terminals, construction sites
  2. Indoor and/or outdoor work
  3. Often shift-based, with mandatory protective equipment

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALITIES

Technical Skills:

  1. Operating various types of forklifts (electric, diesel, side-loader, telescopic)
  1. Reading warehouse documentation and work orders
  2. Basic forklift maintenance
  3. Knowledge of safety procedures
