JOB DESCRIPTION
Gardening work includes both conventional and organic plant cultivation in open fields and protected environments. It involves activities in vegetable growing, floriculture, fruit growing, viticulture, the cultivation of herbs, aromatic and medicinal plants, ornamental plants, as well as the creation, maintenance, and care of gardens (including raised beds) and public green spaces. It also includes harvesting and storing grown plants and produce.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The job is performed both outdoors and in protected environments. Outdoors, one is exposed to changing weather conditions (cold, heat, rain). Indoors, there may be high humidity and heat. Occasional contact with plant protection products is expected. The work involves the use of motorized and electric machines and tools, as well as sharp instruments, which, if used improperly, can cause lasting physical injury. The use of protective equipment and adherence to occupational safety and environmental protection standards is mandatory. Adaptations are possible for individuals with reduced motor abilities. Potential contraindications include severe allergic reactions and significant visual impairments.
