JOB DESCRIPTION
The project manager assistant provides administrative, organizational, and operational support to the project manager. They participate in planning, monitoring, and reporting project activities, communicate with team members and external collaborators, and assist in coordinating resources, timelines, and documentation.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The assistant works indoors with artificial lighting, using a computer, telephone, mobile phone, copier, and scanner. Most of the work is done in an office, but some tasks take place outside the office at meetings, workshops, and other project events.
Typical work environments include:
- Company offices executing projects (construction, IT, marketing, manufacturing, EU projects, etc.)
- Consulting agencies and non-governmental organizations
- A mix of office and field work (depending on the type of project)
- Standard working hours, but with possible tight deadlines and stressful periods
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALITIES
Technical skills:
- Fundamentals of project management (e.g., Gantt charts, WBS, budgeting)
- Use of tools like MS Project, Excel, Trello, Asana, Jira
- Preparing reports, meeting minutes, and project documentation
- Knowledge of basic financial and administrative procedures
