 JOB DESCRIPTION

A baker produces various types of bread, pastries, doughs, and baked goods using traditional and industrial methods. They prepare and shape dough, monitor fermentation and baking processes, and ensure product quality and freshness. Bakers work with professional ovens, mixers, and dough-processing machines.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  1. Bakeries and industrial bread production facilities
  2. Supermarkets with in house bakeries
  3. Hotels, restaurants, and catering services
  4. Small craft bakeries and family businesses
  5. Shift work, often early in the morning

The environment is warm, physically demanding, and team oriented.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALITIES

Technical skills:

  1. Dough preparation and processing
  2. Operation of bakery ovens and machinery
  3. Knowledge of fermentation, temperature control, and baking times
  4. Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitary standards (HACCP)
  5. Production organization and inventory management

  4. Ability to work in fast paced and early morning shifts
